2000 rpm rev up

I have a 2005 Dodge. Startsfineandidlesfine but when I touch throttle it revs up to 2000 and does not come down until I turn engine off...I've taken my truck into dodge for a knock they said 3 injectors where bad I had them replace all 6. After driving the truck a few miles the truck revved up and would not come down. Found out # 2 piston rings broke off. Installed 217000 km motor in truck that I heard running. And now I have this problem thinking maybe some flash the mechanic did. Can't ask because I drove my truck into the shop and I was **** when I had to float it out to another shop so I let them know court was where I was going.
