20" Rims, will they fit?

A buddy has a set of 20" Panther realms http://www.pantherwheel.com wrapped in 35x13.50R20LT Mickey Thompson ATZ's. These are on a GM but it looks like the bolt pattern is the same. He said the dealer had mentioned that these were a popular wheel for the H2's as well. So that tells me with some machining they should fit my truck, however the panther site shows them having a big center bore already 130.8mm as compared to the 121.285 that I see the H2 wheels are bored out to for our trucks. Backspacing on the 20x9.5 is 5.65 with a +10 offset. Can someone help me make sense of these numbers? Will they fit my truck with the levelling kit that is on the way? Do they have to be hubcentric or can they be run lugcentric? Thanks John

Our trucks are lug-centric so no worries about the larger center bore. I can't remember what the stock backspacing is but I think you'll be OK if you have a leveling kit.

A little rubbing at full lock wouldn't bother me. It's more the lug/hubcentric thing I was worried about. Thanks

You'll have a little problem turning tight without a 4.5" lift, especially if you hit a bump while turning. The leveling kit MAY be enough, but it wasn't on mine, my wheels are 20x10 w/ 5"BS. You'll be alittle better than mine was, but not by much.

WhiteSport,

Nice truck, first of all!

I am looking at purchasing a set of 20"x8.5" MB Motoring Gunner 8 Wheels. I can't find a backspacing measurement on them, but I think they are 4.5", with -6 offset. They also make one with a 25mm offset.

Will these fit a truck with a 2" leveling kit and 35"x12.5" tires (or a 325/60R20)?

I hate to drop the cash and not be able to turn!

Thanks
Shawn

A 325/60/20 is too wide for a 8.5" wheel, it'll be sucked way in... But with that backspacing it should be fine. Close but fine. I'd look into the 305 sizes if I were on a 8.5" wheel. 325/60's are HUGE and belong on a 10"wheel...trust me.

Figures someone would post that they need a 10" wheel, after I told the guy at Discount Tire that I thought that a 12.9" wide tire is a bit much for a 8.5" wheel. They said, "Nah...all day long, we install them on 8.5's all day long."

I'm thinking about purchasing the wheels from Discount because they are the right backspacing, and my favorite design (what are the odds?), and then waiting to find a set of the toyo M/T's in the 35x12.5".

The only 305's I can find are 33" tall, or actually 32.7 or something to that effect...and they look a bit short on a 20" wheel underneath our trucks.

The Toyo website recommends a 8.5", 10", or 11" wide wheel for the 35x12.5's..., which is exaclty 35" tall and 12.5" wide

BFG Recommends a 9" rim minimum for the 325/60R20, which is 35.5" tall tire...tread width on a 9.5" wheel is 13"

Oh, they'll fit, just expect them to be ballooned out a bit on the sidewalls, and I hope you don't tow alot, cause the rear end will be kinda wishy-washy with a load.
