Well I have 5000 miles on my truck and I'm going to try the 2 stroke oil in the fuel thing, hope it works, I need this one to last a while. It took 75000 miles before I had to replace the injectors on my 2003, well DC repllaced them with no additives at all

 

Don't put 2 stroke in your diesel unless you want it to run quieter and smoother. It burns clean and some guys are complaining of getting a little bump up in mileage....Nudge Nudge...

well a bump in mpg would be nice, since I'm only getting around 14-15mpg, I will be going to new hampshire from colorado at the end of the month so every mpg will help

 

just run your tire pressure at 55 and you will be set at around 18-20.5, with about 900lbs in the truck. Haha, I just moved back to CA from Manchester New Hampshire.

 

Try it. Test with different ratios and see what works best for you. Most have found that a ratio of around 120-150:1 works good.

That's what I herd as well.Just picked some up at wally's,going to try it myself.I'm burning jet-a and need the extra lube.I have burned staight jet-a in my last duramax 40,000 miles no problems and the wife has 60,000 on a diesel liberty no problems,but didn't plan on keeping either of them this one I do.

 

Well I only put one 16oz bottle in, So your saying I should put almost 2 bottles per tank?

 

For the first dose add around 32oz. Then for every fill add a ounce for every gallon added.

Be sure to add the 2 stroke oil before you add fuel. You'll get a better mix this way.

 

Maybe i did something wrong, but when i used 2 stroke, my start up idle was all out of wack and my rail pressure was a little low, idle was rough and stumbling. Try this stuff. its $.68 a treatment and got much better reviews than 2 stroke. http://opti-lube.com/dfi.htm I also use their oil fortifier. Cooler temps and better milage when used in conjunction, at least for me.

 

i wonder what jet-a does to the fuel system and motor...didnt really think it was an approved fuel?

Dumb question, but I keep seeing this pop up how 2 stroke makes the engine run quieter. Doesn't the diesel rattle come from valves and internals? It seems to me like oil in the fuel wouldn't have an effect on this stuff, but crankcase oil would.

Someone please explain this to me...

 

Diesel knock comes from ignition, that's why these new CR motors are quieter with the multiable injection events.
