Thumbs up 1st pull w/ Six Gun

Made my first pull with my Banks six gun on my truck. Wow!!!

Really smooth and all the power I needed. Trans temps stayed in the low 160's and EGT was never above 1050!!!!!!

It was pretty cool out, in the high 60's.

I was pulling a combination trailer. The 5`vr weighing in at 10.5K and the ATV trailer weighing in at 2.5K making for a GRAND TOTOAL OF 13,000 pounds

Milage wasn't bad for that wieght I caculated 11.3 mpg with most of my trip spent at 60 mph

Sounds great. Is that a Cali truck?

Yep, that is even with the weak California SO motor

I was set on level 6 the highest setting and my pyro sensor is right were all the outs connect to one and start going down. Second closest to the driver

Carnage,
What is the Banks Prototype you list in your sig? Where did you pull? Hills and mountains? Like Local601 asked, do you have the speed loader? Inquiring Kalifornia minds want to know. Your trailer weight is about what mine is when I don't have the Jeep inside. I want to be able to stay above 55-60 pulling the grades to Mammoth. Thanks in advance.

Man I wish I could drive to Mammoth and not have to take a week off work. I miss Cali.

Would you guys get rid of all the taxes and people so some of us x-Cali boys can come home.

How much is the banks 6-Gun and do you have to upgrade your 48RE?

I'm not running the speedloader, but with those low EGT's I definatly will run it when Bank's catches up on the back orders!!!

The Six Gun proto type means that I am one of the original testers for the Six Gun. Don't have the same program that is being shipped right now, but very very similiar. They will upgrade my program to have the same as the general public when they calm down over there

My recent pull was from Glendora, CA to Glamis, CA

about 250 mile each way, a couple of hill. Great power from 53 mph on up, but as soon as you hit 51 mph major power drop off, you have to make the trans up shift to build your speed back up to 55 mph. The rpms get to low and the trans won't up shift for you unless you give it full throttle or hit the O/D.

No upgrades on the trans and I beleive the price is $699 and $99 for the speedloader

Carnage that's what I heard about the 6-Gun having peaky power, sounds a lot like my Bullydog Box. Doesn't add a lot down low but really does once you get above about 2400-2500 RPM. I like how the Edge EZ box drives better, fattens up the lower end more.

What did you pull that dragged you down to 50 on the trip to Glamis? Whitewater? That headwind is a I pull my 30' Warrior loaded (including Jeep and 120 gallons of water in the tank) over Cajon and stay above that. I'm good for about 13k. I've got a stock Kali version 03 SRW. I do have to go to second in one small section of Cajon. I still love it. My old 360 got dragged down to 25mph and 2mpg . I would average 5.3mpg. The CTD is getting 9+mpg pulling. That's at a little above 55mph .

__ I also had a bully dog box in my truck before the Banks and The power was very similiar. The Banks seems to have a bit more and both lagged under 1700 rpms.

What brought my speed down to 50 mph wasn't any hills it was traffic and people cutting me off

How was it through Whitewater? I'm trying to take my 30'Warrior out there the next couple of weeks for a two day. With the bikes and water, I'm about what you are weight wise. Mine is a pull though.

White water was very nice. Really windy thou. I got pushed around by the wind a bit, so I slowed to about 45 mph till a passed all the "fans" I'm guessing winds at about 30 to 40 mph. Came home in the morning and passed through white water bout 10 am and there was no wind, so I would say to avoid the wind go early!

Don't you just love those morons get on the freeway doing 50mph? When I get a few nickels ahead I'm going to get some air horns to wake up the air heads.
