That's the thing.... I don't want to weld anything on.

these I may also give a try. They're not cheap at all but, a lot of design has gone into them. They're completely bolt on with the axle u-bolts going through them. They also telescope to make them as long or short as you like.

Welds are your FRIENDS! Your truck has to many rules...lol.

Caltracs work...just don't flex as much off the road IMHO.

Ty:

I am a little late getting in here, but CONGRATULATIONS on getting your truck into the 11's this past weekend in Alabama! It was also a pleasure to have finally met you and your great family! I know you will get that truck faster too Ty!

Thank you sir ! It was an honor meeting you also. You sure stayed busy with the Scheid crew so I know you have a sense of great pride too for that run. Congrats on that.

I will have to get my truck faster if I'm gonna line up with you :-)

see ya at the next one !

Awesome Ty!

What are you seeing for exhaust temps when you make a run? I am so nervous of holding mine on that long, because of temps.

Thanks and Congrants!!

Thanks Dustin. I'm sure you're more than able yourself to make those times.

EGT's are a given while racing. It's only for a brief time so it's not too bad. I think everyone who runs with a built motor can bury their gauge.

I can bury the gauge by half track but, once I'm to 3/4 I'm usually going into 4th and the EGT's start back down. I think my truck is good for two hot laps anytime I race.

No problem... I wish you luck in that quest, you sure have the mods to do it, especially being a QC.

Hey Ty, do you tow heavy with this truck? If so, I'm just wondering how it performs with a 10k+ trailer hooked up?

No, my boat is 3 to 4K and my truck doesn't know it's back there.

I hear ya.

If you ever happen to hook it to a heavier trailer please let us know how it does.

it's pretty much just my race truck. I rarely drive it other than to events.

My wifes truck is the tow'wer. She has a 07QC that will be built to tow my truck with a gooseneck and the boat. Kinda backwards I know but, that's the way it turned out.
