1/4 mile times with tst on 600

ran me truck this weekend at the track and was kind of dissappointed, thought it would be a little better, on 5/5 did 15.2 and 90 mph, 6/6 15.1 92mph, 7/6 really pushing it ha ha 15.0 93 mph, any one else have any experience with these times also? 60' times were 2.23 to 2.26 .

I ran 15.65 with Dr Performance Stage II (85hp/160fpt). This is with 315s, 3.73 gear, auto and stock exhaust.

This is not very good, except that it is 1.2 seconds better than without it.

DRV, how did your Dr Performance box act when it went bad? Mine is idling rough at startup and doesnt seem to like the new Banks Exhaust that is installed. No improvement with the exhaust.

Ramwheels.
Dr Performance was maybe the best I have tried. Started acting up, by truck loosing power until one day did not start. I was still in my 30 days trial and it was change for a TST.

The fastest 3rd Gens I have seen have Twins, TST, and stage 2's and they are running the mid 14's sounds like you guys need more air not fuel to break out of the 15's........BTW both the trucks with twins up here are still running stock 48RE's with 500+ HP on the Dyno

DRV,

Thanks for reply. I took my Dr Performance II off to have the TSB 18-037-04 done. Had it off for about 10 days now, miss the extra power. I dont know if I trust the box anymore. My mileage was dropping very quick just before I took it off. Was running kinda ragged at startup and low rpms.

Past my 30 days, so may try to get new unit from dealer.

When the truck was stock, did one run powered braked the boost to about 18-20 psi. This produced at very good launch. 60' time completely stock with 315s, half tank of fuel, was 2.38. But the guys with more knowledge than me said that was too hard on the stock drive train(trans, input shaft,etc.).

I have backed off to power braked boost between 5-10psi. I am still trying to decide what I am going to do with the truck. I want to be in the 13s, just dont have the money right now. So for now I will try to drive my age instead of how I want.

so is the TST box set on 7/6 ok For daily driving, or should it only be done on the track? I was going to buy an Edge for the new truck since its limited to 220tq, and i know the trans/tc can handle that.

if i get a TST, can i set it on 7/6 and not have to worry about something exploding?

I 2nd Strokes question

My 2005 3.73 48re will be arriving within the month and I'm itching to install the TST module. However, I'm not sure how high a setting is safe for the stock trans. etc....

Just how high can you push hp/torque before having to upgrade components?

My TST set on 5/5 is more than enough to get the torque converter to slip/chatter. When it chatters like a bad clutch the whole truck shakes. I can't run any higher than 4/3 until I can get a new transmission.

does the tc slip or chatter due too torque?? Because the 48re is being used in the 2005 SRT-10...which is 500/525 at the crank mind you.
