06 boost gauge

06 boost gauge

were do i tap in for my boost gauge on my 06 2500 and what am i goign to need

do a search on a "boost bolt,"

or if you plan on usong the tst you must tap a hole in the intake horn, cant remember what size,

I got the R49 TST and didn't have to touch anything for boost monitoring. I think its done electronically. No boost bolt.

To hook up the exhaust gas monitor, I just tied into the one I already installed for my gauges. But, there was nothing to hook up as far as a boost bolt on my '06.

What kind of boost are you reading? I was under the impression that the box's with gauges dont accurately read boost. I used a boost bolt for my mechanical gauges and i hit as high as 40psi with just the Quad XZT.

Boxes with gauges will read the boost directly off the MAP sensor, prior to sending the clipped signal over to the ECM.

If you use a scanner to look at boost seen by the ECM, you'll get incorrect readings on a truck with a box when it's doing its "boost fooling" function.
