06 and airbags?

I just took delivery of an 06 Mega cab 3500 SRW. After only one day of work it is obvious that todays trucks are not built to work like the older ones. My old 01 2500 worry carry more weight without squating or hitting the bump stops from a speed bump.

My question is if anyone has put airbags on thier 06's yet? I was looking at the Firestone bags but they are listed up to 05.

No difference in the suspension from 05 to 06. You will have to remove the overload springs though.

Just installed airbags and you dont have to remove nothing but the bump stops they set inside the leaf springs. Mine is digital gauges in the cab i got the superduties they are made for the big motorhomes. It will automatically level it self to stablize in the turns one sweet system. it will raise my truck about 3'' in the rear.

What brand name are those so that I can include those in my search?

You do not have remove nothing but the bump stops on these.http://www.jackit.com/store/supercart.cgi?s=air57280 I would rather have these than the firestones one bucause they set under the frame and and have direct support were the firestones mount to the side of the frame and rely on bolts to lift the truck not to mention if you have a gooseneck hitch its a pain.Kinda like building a house would you want your door headers held by nails only or have jacks under them. Here is the compressor that i have also mine is the Sure Set http://www.jackit.com/springs/airlif...essor.htm#sure

Those are the Air-Lift's. What's odd, however, is the link you posted show them mounted under the frame rail, but the same part number on Air-Lift's site shows them mounted on the side of the frame.

Mine are Air-Lifts that is the same part number i ordered mine with and they set on the inside the springs and under the bumpstops. I will try to post some pictures.I have had them for 28,000 miles and tow heavy everyday and they are a great addition to the truck.

The firestones also mount on the inside of the springs, under the frame. The model number for them for the Dodge is #2299. Ride-Rite is the company.

I bought both Ride Rite's and Airlift's and felt the Ride Rite's bracketry was much better in this application and were much easier to install. This is on an '06 QC,SWB, 3500, 4X4. I returned the Airlifts after opening the box and pre-assembling them. I didn't like the way they offset the bag on the lower mounting bracket. I think over time, there could be a failure due to the offset. GP
