Ok, rumor has it that Bullydog's scarry larry was made specifically for an 05 auto and is getting an extra 60hp over other year model trucks with the same tune. What I would like to see is some dyno testing comparing this tune against the smarty tnt/r and ppe's hot+2 programmer. Does anyone have any testing under their belt comparing these? If not, I'll have my truck in the houston area within the next month and we can use it as the test vehicle if someone will bring a bullydog triple dog (I already have the scarry larry tune) and someone bring a ppe programmer and we'll get all the info we need even if it takes all day.

 

I would love to see this as well...many have said Id see more power with a bully dog. I know of a guy that runs a PPE with a dr.p box (swears by it), truck is a freak. With a large single, fairly big sticks and spray he has ran an 11.1 in the quarter...this is with a rollcage and 4.10s!!!

is the newest version better for my 05 auto with a triple disk converter. I have 2.41 it says crasy larry, and I like it milage is good and power comes on smooth and strong. But this version you are talking about sounds very good.

 

these 2 scary and pedfile are quite a bit more power then regular cl i have the beta version of cl that was run on the pinks truck and it better then the regular one. but the sl and pl i have blow them out the water. Alls i can say is revo who tnt what not for my 05 old larry just fine.

 

i too would love to see the comparisons. there's been lots of talk but not #'s, i'll be keeping an eye on this one. so are these special larry tunes not as wild on 05 manuals?

 

I've got a pile of bullydog tunes saved on my computer. I have access to a Triple Dog.....and would love to see this go down. My sister lives in Buda, TX so i can visit her and get this dyno battle done.

There is a Crazy Larry 2.2.7 and Scary Larry is also 2.2.7. There IS a difference. You'll know its Scary Larry 2.2.7 because of the options it gives you when uploading.



I don't think you want a PPE +2 HOT, you just want PPE HOT. as far I know, the only PPE +2 programs for cummins engines were low timing hot versions for use with nitrous. Dan and his boys may have completed the regular timing version of PPE +2 HOT, but im not aware of it. I know a few guys who have PPE HOT, but don't know them well enough to say "hey let me steal your programmer for the weekend"
