03 wheel well fender trim options

Howdy, I'm looking for something to protect my wheel well fender edges from rocks and such. Is there a plastic trim that curves around this area of the body fender?
Thanks, Nimrod

Re:03 wheel well fender trim options

You Bet...There's BUshwackers, and other companies that sell FENDER FLARES. So Far, the cheapest I've found on the INTERNET is from www.accessorysourcedirect.com. (1-888-782-5702) The Street Flares are 249.95 and the OE Style are 314.95..and free shipping. THe next cheapest was gofenders.com but they want $30-40 for shipping;D

Have a safe and happy holiday

Factory option, you can pick them up at the dealer for under a 100 dollars.

Re:03 wheel well fender trim options

I bought the wheel trim in stainless about 1-1/4 wide from Dave Smith in Idaho. I think they were $85.00 plus $5.00 shipping. They look good but they do not go all the way down, they stop at the indent. They have the wider ones also but you have to move the"C" badge up.

Re:03 wheel well fender trim options

Hey,
Thanks for the link for the flare fenders. This is just what Im looking for. I also am looking for those rear wheel well inserts. I will check at David Smith Motors, this is where I bought my truck. They were good to deal with as this is my second dodge diesel I purchased from them. Thanks again for the info. Nimrod

I looked at those and they offered very little protection. I think they really stuck out about 1/2" or so at best. The picture above is the Extenda Fender I installed on my truck. They look real good but I did have an extra 1/2" of wheel offset with the new wheels The ExtendaFenders were still the ones I'd buy. Jim

Thanks for the feedback. I looked at the bigger flares, but I'm not going to upgrade to bigger tires at this time. I'm going to run the mud flaps with the fender flares and that should suffice. I use truck for hunting everyother month or so and didn't see the need for the additional expense for the wider flares. thanks.

No disrespect to your choice of the street flares, I just looked at them and saw no protection for my truck. The ExtendaFlares are not that wide and actually add a little to the body flow. They are not overwhelming at all.

The Street Flares appear to be mostly an ornament. I only commented because I thought you had not seen them or realized how narrow they were. I figured you thought that the Extended fenders were to much.

I was surprised that they worked myself. Had I ordered them from the catalog and not seen them on my truck I would have ordered the street flares and been disappointed.

Good luck with them and I really hope they workout for you. Jim
