03 Pac brake question & tranny fix???
 

I got a Pac Brake put on a week ago and am loving it. But, have a couple of questions that I hope you guys can help with.
When it's all warmed up, if I leave it on at an idle it starts kicking on and off constantly. It's sounds like crap, so I turn it off at lights or after the truck has warmed up in the morning. Can this be adjusted? The dealer that installed it for it is in another state, so I can't drop by and have the guy check it out.


Also, I had the dreaded NV5600 crappy shift problem. I changed over to xtreme pressure 75w90 synthetic and the problem has all but gone away. I was talking to a mechanic friend about my issue and he blurted out "that 5w30 crap is for little cars, a truck tranny should use heavier oil" I have to agree with him and I changed it out. Within a day or two I could tell a difference. Now, its like I have a new tranny, unless it's really cold, then it's the cold gear oil gig. I just hope there is no damage to the tranny.
