What mileage to do first oil change?

When does everyone recommend to do the first oil change? I have 874 miles on her right now.

Follow the manual. I think it says 7500 miles. My change indicator came on at 4500 miles and so I changed it then at the dealer because they had a smokin deal and I've heard the filters and plugs from the factory can be a pain to remove the first time. I also just changed it at 9500 to full synthect Rotella T6. I've had my truck over 3 years and just did this 2nd oil change since I can afford it and only have this few of miles. Gonna last forever if I keep from BOMBing it.

Ive always liked to give a new truck its first oil change somewhere around 2-3k.

mega is right, get ready for a fight. Im pretty sure an 800lb gorilla put all the filters on my truck the day it was built.

X2. Feels like the trucks gonna start spinning before the filter on the first one.

First change at 3000 miles with conventional oil, second change at 7500 miles and switched to Rotella T. Change it at 7500 mile intervals from then on.
