Turbo Loud On Decel With Engine Brake On
 

My truck is completely stock. When I decel and I have the engine brake on, I can hear the turbo spinning. All other times I cant really hear the turbo.

Is this normal?

depending on the rpms, when you hit the e brake at higher rpms you can usually hear the charger alot louder then usual.

I can barely hear the turbo when accelerating. However, when I use the e-brake, I can really hear that puppy sing. I love it. It is not a sign of a problem. Enjoy it.

You should hear that joker spin when its straight piped.

Mine makes a loud whistle with the EB on. Techs say its a bad exhaust gasket at #4 cylinder. Repair scheduled next week.

I absolutely love the sound of my truck. The thing sounds like a spaceship going down the road.

You should hear it Stacked!

When you have the EB on you can get up to 5-7 psi boost from the spinning and back pressure of the turbo. Normal.. :)
