truck regenerated at idle

I have had my truck straited piped and got all the new sensors and everything fixed today, and it finally went into the first regen after putting the stock exhaust back on. When I went to stop my motor started bucking real bad like it was wanting to die and the rpms were at 800 and the egts were at 1000 this was stopped at an idle. Usually regen stops when you do after a second but didnt. I was just wondering if any of you have had this happen probably was just because of what I did and it being the first regen.

I just got an update from the dealer the 2nd version of the AU flash makes the truck stay in regeneration even at an idle so you can idle the truck for hours with no problems.

did you let it set and idle for a few minutes after you noticed it was regening or did you turn it off? Just curious as to how long it continued to regen at an idle state?

I still dont know if i would be comfortable letting it idle all day. this may prove that if it is already in a regen and you come to a stop that it will finish it, but im wondering if it will begin a regen if already stopped and idling!?!?

Thats true I was driving and came to a stop when it did it. Next time I will stop shut the truck off start it up and let it idle and see if it will go back in regen.

K did some playing around today and two times when I stopped the regen stopped and they other times it didnt stop it wouldnt unless I put the park brake on I have the manual. I would start it back up and it wouldnt go back into regen unless I drove it. With all the mods on my truck I see a regen about almost everyday.

you talking about the "passive" regen?? the one the Attitude shows ya, but doesn't show up on the overhead??? if so mine would kick off when I came to a stop & then return when I started driving again, you'll see alot of those passive regen's!!!! but in 24,000 miles mine has never went into an active regen! & my exhaust is still all stock too, all these trucks have the passive regen's, just alot of folks don't know what it is or when it's happening, Dusty
