Well I thought I would try the "light load TPMS" switch tonight. I did it just like the owners manual said to, turn key on, adjust tires pressure, press switch on. After I did that the TMPS light came on so I checked all the tire pressures and they were fine. Am I missing something here on how to use light load. Anyone have any luck and can share some luck?:(

the light being illuminated on the "light load" switch means that the TPMS will trigger an alarm if the tire pressure on the front falls below 65psi or the rear falls below 45psi. if the "light load" switch is pushed and the light turns off, the pressure settings needed for the TPMS to trigger an alarm is 65psi front and 65psi rear. if your tires are above these settings, you should not be getting a TPMS alarm. I switched to a larger, load range D tire that has a max psi of 50 so my TPMS beeps at me twice (signaling 2 low tire pressures, the front two) every time i start the truck. it will turn off after a few minutes of driving as the tires warm up and the air expands.

not to hijack but is it true there is no tpms on Duallies?

from what i understand, that is the case. i haven't been in an '08 dually though, so i can't speak from experience.

Is there a way to outsmart the TPMS? I have H2 wheels and tires. I don't want to hear that beeping and the lights come on all the time...

Not that I've figured out so far. Mine beeps at me twice every time I start my truck due to having load range D tires on the truck at 50psi. The vehicles Dodge has had with TPMS for a while (i.e. charger, 300, etc) has the option with the StarScan tool to adjust the psi at which the TPMS triggers an alarm. It stands to reason that eventually there will be an update for the StarScan tool to allow us to do this with the pickups as well. As far as the H2 wheels are concerned, you will have to see if you can fit the TPMS sensors in the H2 wheels. They are a part of the valve stem.

Check the spare also, i battle this with our Grand all the time

I have an 08 (300 miles) 6.7 2500 Mega Cab that just had the TPMS warning light come on today right after a 70 mile highway drive. I stopped at a buddy's house who checked the tires......60 psi on the front and 68 psi in the back. After leaving his house, as soon as I hit the road, it went off and stayed off. Normal??

if you are at 60psi on the front after a 70 mile highway cruise, your cold pressure is probably about 52-55psi. You could probably stand to put some air in the front tires.

What do you recommend? I've got BFG 265 T/As on'em.

If they are a load range E then they are most likely a 70psi cold max pressure tire. I personally would run them at 65-68psi. Then again, I like a stiff sidewall, reduces bodyroll though you take a hit on the roughness of the ride.
