I think the fact that your truck pulls HEAVY quite a bit has kept the p2262 bug at bay. Those that experience the p2262 code, when they take it to the dealer, get a reflash the first time. On average about 200-300 miles later the p2262 code returns. The second dealer visit for this problem entails having the dealership drill a hole in the turbo, tap it, and flush a cleaning solvent (which Chrysler won't tell us what it is) to clean it. Once the third p2262 comes, the dealer replaces the turbo and the cycle starts all over again. there are some that are on their 3rd and 4th turbos. I myself didn't wait for a replacement. I already had my DPF and EGR deletes sitting in my shop and 100 miles after they drilled, tapped, and flushed my turbo i deleted everything.

Your truck certainly seems to be the exception, not the rule Mr. Scott. I think the fact you pull heavy and for long periods keeps the turbo hot enough often enough to keep the soot deposits from collecting. So to answer your question, it is a bandaid that Chrysler is performing due to a faulty design. It doesn't "fix" anything. If Chrysler doesn't fix the design, ALOT of trucks are going to have this as regular as every oil change.

I agree. It seems that the guys that really work their trucks are the ones not having issues. Maybe Dodge should sell these with a trailer permanently attached to the rear bumper to keep the problems at bay......
