Roadside Belt Replacement 07- 5.9L Cummins

***On the side of the hi-way***

2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab 5.9L Cummins

Hi,
I am trying to bypass my Seized AC with a 110.2 Inch belt.
I have this diagram:
Name: 44684d1428363066t-ac-compressor-bypass-5.9l-cummins-belt-daigram.jpg
Views: 9965
Size: 7.8 KB
But Notice how the diagram shows the belt with Grove side down on the tensioner pulley when running no AC and with Back side down when running with AC.

Is it OK to run my belt grove side down on a flat tensioner pulley? or is there another tensioner with a groved pully?

Mopar / Dogde Parts guy Can't answer

Please HELP!

Thanks!

Jeff

Jeff:

You should be alright running that belt either way. I had to do it in an emergency once but didn't go too far like that. I ended up using a different belt that bypassed the AC.
