Please Help

OK, I am having some crazy things going on, on my truck. I have had my truck to the dealer on,9-20,, 10-23,,11-10, and now just dropped it off today again. I am having issues with the perform service light coming on overhead and the check engine light on in the dash. The crazy thing is that when it happens, the whole dash goes nuts, all the warning lights on the dash come on, the buzzer beeps and the tach and speedo bounce at every beep. This will do it until i shut the truck down. I drove 3 weeks ago to work 7 miles with it doing it. The dealer performed the service, cleaned egr, changed 02 sensors, wrapped exhaust. They just recently thought it was a bad connection at my computer telling it to reset every time it lost connection. didn't work. The change oil light comes on and if i reset it the next time the truck goes haywire it comes on with the perform service and yellow check engine....I am totally lost and I think the dealer is also..The truck runs fine though. Any suggestions or possibilities, or has anyone had this problem? It usually does it in the morning on the first start and then it stops going haywire all day, but the service and check engine light stay on.

OK, figured it out for those who read my post. Found out that it was caused by my aftermarket radio. I have a pioneer z2 naz unit and the box that connects to my factory haerness to my pioneer harness, the connection plug to plug was bad. I know this sounds crazy but its true. The stereo harness is connected to the computer somehow and would set off all my alarms and reset my overhead computer every time it would get a bad connection. crazy but true.

The dealer actually figured it out when the truck was there the last time. I told them that it usually did it in the morning on the first start up of the day, when they went out to start the truck in the morning it wouldn't fire. They waited a bit and it started , all the lights on the dash were flashing and the chime beeping so they put the scanner on it and they told me that it said something about a , BUS CONNECTION. They took the center dash apart and fooled with the plug and it would stop and start acting up every time they moved it. I still can't believe it, but i bypassed the connector plug and hard wired it and everything is fine now.....Factory plug and aftermarket sometimes just don't line up i guess...

Wow. Good find. I am always leery of aftermarket stuff now with all that electronic control of the new trucks..
