Thumbs up Picks of my truck with hummer H2 wheels and some questions

I am sure you guys are tired of seeing these. But here is a before and after pick of my truck. Also how in portent is it to have the holes perfect round? The frist 2 wheels i did came out great. But for some reasion the last to i had to fight the hole way to get them cut. I ended up making the hole bigger than the frist 2 and a little out of round in the back. But the front part wear you put the cone for balanceing looks fine. Thanks and i hope i never have to do another set of hummer wheels . Thanks Mopar72

Ps sorry for the bad picks.

I F'd mine up a lil' bit too! Good thing they were cheap That last one I routed was PERFECT though LOL! First three not so good If I were to do another set they would be spot on. I'm gonna run the crap out of these I won't tow with them though.

If you post a few close up pics of the wheel centers unmounted I will give you my non-professional opinion of your wheels If ya want

Unless you are planning to tow heavy with them I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thanks at least i know that i am not the only one that had problems.lol sorry ment no disrespect. I hope to not haveing to take these off for a long while. I just had them balenced right before i sold my gmc so they should be good for a while.I will run these untill i can find a set of the factory ploished aluminum wheels. To day was the frist time i have ever used a router so that could of been my main problem. But for some reasion after i set up the router for cutting. The frist wheel went fine and the second was not bad, But when i did the 3 wheel the frist cut took out a lot of aluminum in one pass. I had to change the depth of the router 3 or 4 times on the last 2 wheels to get the cut right. I will probly never tow over 8,000 pounds unless i get a 2 car trailer. Thanks Mopar72

Yep exact same thing that happened to me! Only difference is I had a buddy who "SAID" he knew how to set up the router! Right So after the first one was semi-screwed up I didn't worry about it. Messed up thing is I busted out the directions and was going to make sure I knew how to set up the router, and he's like "what are you doin'.....nah I no how to set it up no problem!" That's what I get. Like I said, the wheels were cheap. So chalk it up as a learning experience! I now know to ignore anyone who says I do not need to read the instructions!

Try using a rotozip tool next time. I used one w/zero problems. I think the rpm speed of a rotozip is faster than a router also.

The wheels balance by the lug holes, not the center bore hole. If your center bore hole is a little out of round, as long as it is big enough to fit around the hub center and sit flush, it is fine. Tow all you want, guys.

Just looking for an old quote to show a buddy and ran across this comment. I have done another set of H2's since that first batch and these ones turned out perfect. Just an FYI it is super easy to do the router method, if you hold the router steady and set the bit depth correctly.

The wheels are lug centric mounted on the truck, but when you get them balanced they usually balance buy the hub hole.

You think so? I had another set of H2's with 355/70/17 Toyo At's on them. I really screwed up routing that set out. They balanced absolutely perfect! This last set of H2's I was very careful and they came out perfect. I can't get the Goodyear Mtr's to balance on that second set of rims for anything! Yes the wheel has to be good to begin with, but after seeing with my own eyes the absolute hack job I did with that first set of wheels, that turned out just fine BTW. The balance has at on more to do with the tire itself rather than the hub hole.
