thank you for the vid I ordered a new sensor for it anyways but I will clean it out it won’t have anything to do with the tuner right? Cause once I loaded it up it threw that code but I’m wondering if the tune that was on the truck was just blocking it out..

You said the code was on there with the previous tune? Or did you mean it wasn't on there?

Yes, the new sensor will be useless even if that port is clogged with soot. The downfall of most of the system on this motor (soot and emissions).

to reply to you’re top comment no it wasn’t on there until I flashed it with the smarty..and I know the smarty has the right “me” software because it has 28 me when I plug it in so I was wondering maybe the old tune was just blocking that CEL from coming on..and the sensor is actually bad as well as being clogged up? I just found it odd that once I tuned it with the smarty the light came on

Do you know what tune you had in there before? I assume you have things on the motor and emissions deleted from such previously? Perhaps it was coded out in the previous tune? Or just coincidence that it got clogged and bad about the same time as new tune with the smarty.

that was the thing I don’t know which tune was on it that’s why I bought the smarty I have a feeling it already went out before I put the smarty on and that other tuner coded it out..

I think the good news is that it shouldn't be too bad to fix. You have a new sensor so that is great. Just make sure that housing it resides in is clean/clear and that sensor tube that feeds this is clear. Is this the only code/issue you have?

yes sir that’s correct it’s the only code that’s present on my truck..doesn’t let me clear it nothing just stays constant so I have a feeling it’s just the sensor good news is it comes in Saturday.

Excellent! Hope the code stays away now then with the root cause being the sensor. Curious what it looked like where it connected to the exhaust port housing.
