overhead console

The mechanic at my Dodge dealership tells me that when my '08 6.7 goes into Regen , the overhead console should read "regen "
I've never seen that nor have I ever seen " catalyst full " on the console.
has anyone else ever seen this ?

There was supposed to be a new flash that updated the trucks to do that but I think there were some big problems with it and it got pulled before hardly any trucks recieved it. There was also supposed to be a sticker attached to the sun visor explaining the whole process too.
The 08 I had never showed this info....

I have had mine do it several times. From memory "regeneration in progress"
Regeneration complete etc. There were a couple of other things but can't remember exactly. Had the reflash to the overhead donea year ago and just saw this on mine during the cold weather and slow icy driving.

My truck has never said anything other than system ok. My visor has the sticker telling about the diesel exhaust aftertreatment system. I know my truck has done regen a few times.

My 08 overhead one day displayed catalist 70% full. only cus I left it idling for 3 hours one day. Got on highway and drove at highway speed, and it went into regen mode. My truck has been in regen mode many times, you'll know when its in cus it loses power. feels like a power stroke. 62,000 and only been in shop once. EGR valve

My 08 dinged and the overhead said "catalyst 80%, regeneration required.
I fueled up, dropped it in 4th gear ran up to 65 mph. Three miles later it read
"catalyst 70%, reg. required. About three more miles it dinged and said
regeneration completed. This happened after about three days of slow,
icy driving. That was the first time I ever noticed anything like this.
The turbo was replaced at 11,000 miles and cleaned at 22,000 mi.
I run with the exhaust brake on most of the time and do not pull regularly.

I ran mine on a long trip for the first time on Friday and when on the highway at 75mph at about 2100 rpm and speed control set. I noticed the pyro temp go from 1000 to 1300 for about 20 minutes while driving on relatively flat ground. There was no message on the overhead saying that it was in regen but, after about 20 minutes the temp dropped to 1000 and stayed there for the remainder of my 550 mile trip. I am assuming that it was in regen when the temps went up as my speed was steady on flat ground with speed control set when the temp climbed and (after about 20 min) went back down.

Thumbs up

Yep had it happen once. Checked the manual, drove it at what it said would not go away. Took to dealer, and they did the ecm update at 14000km and no problems since, knock on wood.

Not true, I know mine went into regen with the cruise on at 75 mph @ 2100 rpm. My pyro jumped up from a steady 900 degrees to 1300 degrees for about 20 minutes. That was obviously a regen cycle.
