New to the 6.7 scene.
I just bought a 2008 2500 megacab with a 6.7 in it. Just wondering what I should be looking out for in it. I have a 2006 ram 2500 with a 5.9 in it and that thing has been flawless for 300000 km's of towing! Can I expect the same with the 6.7, or should I let the wife drive the 6.7 and I'll stay with the 5.9?

What would be considered a short trip?

The grocery store.
Trick to managing a stock bluetec truck is to get the exhaust hot enough and keep it there to sustain a passive regen. Otherwise itll actively regen as needed.

Yep, have a stock '07.5 that pretty much is only used for towing. 36,000 on ODO and zero problems other than sucky mileage. Pulling the 16,000 lb fifth wheel means 9.0 MPG. I can get her up to 10 MPG if I keep her at 62 MPH on flat ground. Granted, my trailer is heavy and very tall so she catches a lot of wind. Same conditions with my '05 5.9 and I'd get 1.0 - 1.5 MPG better under the same conditions.
