I priced out injectors last year and I was able to get then for 266 Canadian a hole. Now the cheapest I found a year later is 455 a spark plug. What gives?

We are experiencing insane inflation in the US that is being lied about by our media with zeal. I do refrigeration M&R and all my materials and supplies have doubled every 18 months or so for many years now. This is not new but a decades long situation. We have been told for many decades it was the unions but they have been killed off for the most part--guess it's just good ol greed.
