Attitude W/Juice on 08 6.7

Chaser,

I tried one of those on my 2000 Ford 7.3 and it almost ruined a transmission & vacation for me. I was able to return it but now have an 08 2500 and am looking for anything to help the MPG's. Could you please advise how it works out for you MPG & drivability wise? At almost five bucks a gallon I don't see me doing any sporty driving or parking lot burnouts anytime soon.

Thanks

my mpg went up, in town Iam maintaining 15 to 16 mpg, highway 18.5, again set in mileage mode and I also have 410, running under 2k rpm about 70 to 72mph, I very happy, I gained 2 almost 3 mpg, after installing the juice

I use my juice to monitor egt, trans. temp, engine temp, trans gear and lock up, Trans mainly till i push the pedal alittle more pulling. Other wise i leave in mileage stage and run the truck normal and getting better mpg. I pulled hard in the mountains maintaining 70-75, and factory temp settings set off my alarms but only 2 to 5 degrees in change over factory settlings, this is also in tow stage and using my manual trans override but I never go under 5th gear, after the juice show me trans lock I ll put my foot into her a little more to keep from trans slipage, I just watch my monitor and drive to what the stage the big boy is in, Had no problems and mpg are fine for what Ive done, again definitley 3-4 mpg gain, also if u you use your heads up display, before a start after a fill up reset your mpg, other wise it will not reset for the fuel be added and type of driving your getting ready to do.

The EVIC, no matter how many times you reset it or when you reset it, is NOT an accurate method for gauging fuel economy. I reset my fuel economy readout on the EVIC every time I fill up and have found that my Bully Dog Power Pup actually decreses hand calculated fuel economy yet increases the fuel economy on the EVIC. Your Edge box is likely doing the same thing since it is also a programmer. While you may be seeing a 2-3mpg increase on the EVIC, until you hand calculate your fuel mileage (# of miles driven per tank divided by # of gallons at fuel up) you can not claim an increase with any kind of proof.

This isn't about a 6.7L. but my freind was telling me tonite who has an 06 5.9 mega cab in south dak said he ran into a guy not too far from where he lives that has the same truck and he put in a ship or something and it improved his MPG by 10! i think it went from 16 to 26. is that possible, the guy said take my truck for a week if you dont belive me!

That would be a " Chip" and no way will it improve 10mpg. Just wishful thinking.

Make that DPF fall off and get a MP-8 to go with the edge. You will gain another 4 mpg.
