g56 transmission fluid mobil
For my g56 standard 6 speed is there a difference in the mobile delvac 50 wt one has blue top one has red top thank you or is there a better fluid to put in

The oem Mopar spec for the G56 is ATF+4
Merceds Benz (the manufacturer of the g56) spec is MobilTrans SHC DC which is nearly impossible to find in this country and has apparently the same specs and properties as the Delvac 50. But both the Delvac 50 and SHC DC MAY lead to harder shifting in colder climates.
MANY people are achieveing anecodotally excellent shifting, lube and low gear rollover noise results with the Amsoil MTG tranny fluid which is Amsoils suggested lube for Manual Transmissions needing a 50 wt oil.
And you can some read some independent G56 lube oil testing and make up your own mind here-

I will run either the Amosil MTG or Mobil Delvac 50 nest time I change the lube in my 2005 G56.
The Delvac 50 that I have on hand for that change has a blue cap on it.
Hope this helps a little.
