my etc light comes on randomly and i get no pedal responce very spongy i can have it at 1/4 throttle and it slowly climbs up and keeps going no matter where i put the pedal then it just jumps back to an idol but very jerky i can even have it at full throttle same thing. 2007 6.7 5 inch turbo back egr/dpf delete. every time i bring it to dodge they change the gas pedal thats been like 7 times now any ideas

 

Doesn't sound good there for sure. Any codes or CEL besides the ETC? I imagine you're paying them to replace the gas peddle each time... Obviously seems like that is NOT the problem or cure. What Programmer do you have?

 

no programmer im ordering xrt today the only codes is the ones from the exhaust and egr delete but i had the etc problem before i did the deletes. 2007.5 6.7 megacab 4x4 red 20s on 35s 5" turbo back muffler 7 inch tip egr delete. runs great when that dam etc is not on but its a random thing im hoping the programmer will solve the problem i think its a electrical issue. o an the gas pedal code the should have stuck with the cable throttle !!! too much elec

 

H&S XRT Pro does not solve the problem.Any further info on this issue would be appreciated.

 

why not? the only thing i can tell the roads or kinda bad here in louisiana it seems to do it when i hit some bumps maybe a loose wire but how to find that. Another thing that i just noticed is that when i clear the code an restart my exhaust sound almost is silent then about 5 sec of running it sounds like some flap opens and the truck sounds normal it will do this every now and then with no code or resetting

 

Her truck works all day pulling weight. The ETC red lightning bolt is coming on all the time. I've read a lot on here and I know loose battery cables or low batteries will cause it as will a loose or unsealed Mass Air Sensor in the CAI. I think its the battery connections.

 

yeah i heard the battery thing checked them they seem to be fine a few months ago i took the cables off clean and greased they have no corrosion on them. does her etc light flash or just stay on? what is the CAI?

 

The ETC light stays on solid. CAI is Cold Air Intake. Hers is an AFE Stage ll. The factory sensors screw into the aftermarket air tube leading to the turbo, however AFE did not do a very good job of copying the factory mounting plate and as only one screw holds the sensor in place it is prone to leakage. It is now siliconed in place but difficult to make sure it's air tight. A miss reading sensor will not only activate the ETC light, we've had it actually shut down the truck. Dealer of course had no clue.

 

my etc light flashes it always runs tho its a real weird feeling i could give it like 1/4 throttle and it just keeps on climbing in speed it dosent level off then randomly it will stop like real fast and go back to an idle sometimes it will do that and when i let off the gas its like im pumping the gas pedal real fast. i have an afe air breather the only plug i see on it has two screws that hold it on on the top of the tube. what year is your wifes truck?

 

it also feels like my tranny is gunna fall off when it does the jerkey stuff and when i say its like pumping the gas my foot is not touching it and then it just stops.

Sorry taking so long here Cole. As you can see from these pics there should be 2 sensors in the AFE Air Intake Tube. If your truck is an 07 6.7 there definitely should be two sensors. As I stated before if the one on the side is not plugged in properly the truck will not run smoothly. Go through these pics & AFE's website and find out which air filter you have. This one here is the one on the wife's 07 6.7. There is a sensor on top using 2 screws and one on the side using only one. You can see them clearly in Pic 5 & Pic 6

thats the same one i have and that plug on the side is loose and the gasket that seals it is warn out ill silcone it and see if that helps. i actually pulled the plug out and started the truck it gave me a bunch of codes but not the one i been getting. the one im getting when the truck ***** up is a p2121 code it says its the{apps} have u heard anything on this code ? what code does your wifes truck show you .
