May sound good to you but every 7,500-15,000 sounds good to the guys who designed built and warranty the engine. Going by their reccomendations sounds good to me.(but hey it's your $ and the Irainians could probably use it, as their nuclear reactor development is probably getting kinda pricey)

Ya it might be a waste of money but what does it hurt, nothing at all. I change my fuel filter every oil change which I change at 3000-4000 miles I have had my truck for about 8 months with 7000 miles on it. I sled pull the truck and hot rod the heck out of it when I do drive it. You guys that put that many miles on your truck in a month it makes no since to change your oil that often but when you dont put very many miles on it, it doesnt hurt anything.

My "Oil Change Required" light came on today. 1600 miles after the last oil change! That's just F'in retarded. There is NO WAY it needs to be changed already! I'll stick to the owner's manual recommended intervals...

With out my chip that tells me I am in regen and the egt guage I would never know that it was regenerating. With you that have everything stock it will be hard to tell but not impossible. I think I saw a deal that you plug in and it will tell you when you were in regen.

No matter how hard you drive the truck, it will regen.
It is not possible to drive the truck hard enough to completely passively regen the aftertreatment system. It may not regen as often as someone that baby's their truck, but it will regen no matter what your duty cycle is.

I'm still confused. Your oil analysis verifys when you've done a regen?

Oh, I see, sorry.
I bet your next one come in with fuel in the oil, but how much is very important.
If its less that 5%, then it's considered normal. The OCM is set up to calculate the approximate fuel in oil. When it reaches 5%, the OCM requests an oil change be performed.

OK, oil analysis came back. No problem with fuel in oil this time (after only 1600 miles) even though it still reads high on the dipstick. I would conclude that the dipstick is wrong...

i posted a thread about my dipstick reading way high when i knew i put 12qts in. i ended up last oil change leaving it about .5 qts low and my dipstick was dead on after that. i think the engine is hiding some oil thats not getting drained.
