A buddy of mine bought a new 08 qcsb 6spd manual 6.7 at the end of april. It has around 13-14,000 miles on it now and it has been shutting down on him while he has been driving down the road. Its done it about 5 times now and the dealer can't find anything wrong and is stumped. They supposedly called some higher up guys and they haven't heard of anything like this.

Does anybody else have this problem? If so, what is the fix for it?

I think member eb340 (I think thats the name) had this problem but his is a C&C, the problem was a stuck EGR valve but the dealer had to look for that because no codes came up and the truck ran fine when it started or started back up.

This is my truck hes talking about...seems like when the jake brake is on running anywhere from50 to 85 mph about every 1000 -1500 miles the guages just flatline the truck dies and all...kind of a pain in the butt...had it in the shop 3 times..they think im feeding em a line of crap on it...so i dunno..makes a guy a little mad...what can you do right? guess ill mention the egr valve see what they gotta say...if not ill take it elsewhere....wanting to get the dpf delete kit on it but in and out of the shop like it is hate for em to find that on it lol...

If you take the programmer out does it still do it?

It doesn't have any mods at all, no programmer.
