The DPF pyro signal to the ECM can be fooled to satisfy the minimum EGT requirement, but is there a maximum value in *F to stay under to avoid code-generation on the high side?
For example, if the ECM thought the EGT was always higher than 1200*F, it wouldn't initiate regen, but if the ECM thought EGTs were over 1600*F - would it generate a code or derate protocol in the fuel map?

To bad dodge just doesn't want to work with the aftermarket. A programer/tuner would fix that problem and you can do some tuning. Has Diablo unlocked the cummins 6.7L ECM yet? They have a good programmer for the hemi stuff. Its just a matter of time, hopefully.

Can any of ya'll post a writeup with those pics of the intake horn being removed? I have a friend with a 68rfe that wants to block his egr and take the butterfly out. What all would be needed to make this a problem free setup. He mainly wants better mileage.

I want to do these deletes but I just don't know if I will unless I can figure out how to get through emissions testing without having to put everything back on the truck....
Now, maybe the makers of these downloaders can come up with a special "Emissions" program that we could use just to get through an emissions test. Something that makes the truck burn super clean just for a short period of time, even if performance was affected temporarily. If that were the case then the emissions guy may not even look under the truck to see if all the junk was even there. It seems like it would be pretty easy. If they can add a bunch of fuel why can't they take some of it away instead? Sounds like a great idea to me.....

On the note of putting everything back on. How long would it take to put everything back on? I know it's a lot of work for one day, put everything back on, get it inspected, take everything back off. But it is only one day a year, unless your plates are less than 18,000 LB plates. I have 24,000 LB plates. 18,000 and 24,000 have to be renewed every year. I know guys that have 12,000 LB plates and are ALWAYS towing over 12,000 LBS.
