One man's noise is another man's music.I personally like the sound of the whistle when the EB is on.

Ditto again, you should here some of the sled pullers if you think that's loud... Music to my ears and no I don't like to smoke people out.

Mexican Emissions Ready!!! That's AWESOME!!!![laugh]

It only cost me 1500.00 to make mine sound that good!! HAHAHA

The neighbors hate me at 6AM when it is really cold out. Engine idles up to about 1100 and the Ebrake goes on and sounds like she is ready for a takeoff haha

If you pull the silencer out of the intake tubing from the filter, the whistle is a little more pronounced. Takes a nut driver and about 2 minutes to tug it out. In cab noise was not noticeable, but it does sound a little different with the windows down.

These last few trips cross country have really been annoying inside the truck from turbo whine at 65-70 mph. After driving for 16 hrs I got out and my ears were ringing. Back in the day it might have been cool but Im 48 years old and I just dont like it anymore. Not sure what I will do with the AFE when it comes off but... Just started noticeing it on these trips also, runnin around town doesnt whine as much. Oh well if somebody in the Wichita KS area wants the thing they could get it for free when the time comes. It has only been on the truck since April 08.

Yup, long trips plus loud whistle plus loud exhaust plus heavy load gets old. But around town I really like the sound of the turbo and exhaust.

It does it when it is cold outside and the truck isn't warmed up yet when you turn on the exhaust brake at idle. It stops after the truck gets up to operating temperature. I still think this is a bit more tolerable then smoking out the whole group of people waiting at the light.
