6.7 fuel question w/ egr/cooler delete

I've recently installed a H&S egr/cooler delete and have noticed my fuel milage drop 1-2 mpg city and 3-4 mpg hwy at 60-65 mph mainly. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the cause for mpg loss when i've deleted the regen pocess. Also it blows less smoke w/o the egr and cooler how does that make sence. I also did a 4" down pipe so it makes it straight piped finally so if anyone got any ideas other than to reinstall my egr/cooler I'm all ears thanks.

After doing my engine deletes and Smarty Ive seen what looks (unconfirmed just yet) to be about 1.5 to 2 mpg. As soon as I can find my happy setting with the Smarty Ill do some mpg testing.

Im wondering the same as Chubby, whatcha got for a downloader.

Sounds like someone may be having a few less mpg more fun with the skinny pedal? Not sure why it would smoke more before deletes. Working properly, these trucks are squeeky clean. At least mine was...

No downloader.... Thats your problems, without a Smarty or XRT or a similar programmer/downloader that allows for full engine deletes your rig is gonna go into limp mode and be severely derated.

Yup, I had the EJA. If you do the cooler delete you must leave the servo plugged in. Not sure about that with the new race juice.

You have a CEL like it is????

how do i leave the servo pluged in if everything is already removed and why smartys over EJA when smartys as no way for monitering vitals for the truck and if its for timeing EJA has that but it just may become a stackable option later on. And what is CEL???

Check Engine Light. You've got to have that on with your bad mileage and mods with no tuner. I like the Smarty and have an insight. No BS with having to clear CELS or anything.

Like Mega said, the Smarty is just better. You get a lot more options, ABS adj, speed limiter, TRUE code free operation, and the ability to fine tune your truck just like you like it.

Not to mention, having had both, the Smarty just makes the truck run so much better. The power is smooth yet you can feel the beast waiting to be let loose. Ive had, and still have, both and can give you my honest opinion on them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the EJA, and if you go that route you will be happy, but the Smarty is just so much better. Trust me, you wont need to stack em. If I had to do it all over again, it would be a Smarty and an Edge Insight for monitoring.

And to answer your question, you would have to leave just the servo motor on the cooler side plugged in. If you go EJA, pull the servo motor outta the box you stuck it in, plug it back up, and zip tie it outta the way.

I have the edge attitude Just for aa monotor, I got sick of clearing the codes at start up and also i have sent this edge back 2 times for the same problem. Smarty with a monotor is the way to go.

Something i'm interested in is the turbo timer in the EJA. just wondering if the smartys has that cuz everything i've read is that it doesn't have it nor does the insite moniter. Or is it really worth the extra money for one.
