2008 front pinion seal

Hi all!

Just purchased an 2008 4x4 2500 ~171k miles
It needs the front pinion seal replaced, I haven't done this task before, it looks failry straight forward.

Any advice or pointers?
Do you know the socket sizes I am hoping metric (metric tools at work) and also the Tq. spec on the nut?
Do I have to hold the yoke to Tq. on the nut?

I should probably go purchase a service book...

TIA

How bad is it leaking? Is there a puddle under it or is it just keeping the housing wet? For whatever reason, many of the new front diffs leak to some extent.

It's new to me so I don't know its previous maintenance routine. It is not puddling there is just oil residue around the pinion seal area and running down the pumpkin. I haven't done a fluid change up front yet I was going to wait until after the seal was fixed. So the diff could be low on fluid.

I saw that post while using the search button. I read #19 and it seemed good to go and then I read #20 and it had me worried again. I don't think using sealant is the proper method either.
