2008 Dodge Ram

Well after the bad reviews by many on the 6.7, I had my truck in service today and there she was as beautiful as the sunny day rolling from a car hauler, I just had to have her. So my friend at the dealer went and told the manager that I wanted to test drive the truck. Well after the test drive there was no going back into the 2004.5. I am actually going to go and get the truck because I did all the paperwork and asked them to let me keep mine until I had some time to strip the essentials that I did not want to give up.
I will get some photos and keep everyone posted on the truck and how it does mechanically. Off like a prom dress…..

MMMMM, I'm jealous. I've heard lots of good with the 6.7's. Good luck with your truck.

Thanks guys, well got her home, to dark for pics, I will get to it over the weekend. I really like the power compared to the 5.9, even bombed, this truck has more power, and the brake is the ticket.
If anyone is getting ready to buy one, the sticker was 49,000.00, I have a connection, they sold the truck at cost to me so it was about 35,000 out the door, with help and also 2000 rebate.
The only thing that I do not care fore are those tail lights, maybe the will grow on me.

Laramie, I got mine from Fairbanks, in Tamarac FL. I know the 2nd in command there she always gets me a deal at her dealership. I can tell you there is a process to buying, always buy on the last day of the month and find out if they have met there quota for the month, these guys were 66 short on end of year so they will give away the truck at or below invoice. On the 08 it did not matter as this truck was a Sport 4x4 2500 and it was still wet from dew as it rolled from the car hauler. My connections told me that I was under invoice and it was the best they could do on a 08 that was there first one for the showroom.
The ladies told me that the leftover 06 and 07 2500 & 3500 they are basically giving them away right now.....

Do me a solid and (prove it)...because, if I take your story to my local dealer he'll call BS on 14K off a just delivered 08 and laugh me out the building!
Email me your window sticker and your final sales receipt so I can shove it down their throats...and get the same deal. And I'll then buy a Dodge

I think he had some positive equity in his trade. I don't care how short of whatever quota they are a dealer is not going to loose money on an 08. The difference between invoice and retail, plus rebate is not even close to 14k. Throw in the holdback and you are still nowhere close. I was in sales, an f&i manager, sales manager and gm and if there was that kind of mark-up I would go back.
