2007.5 DRW rear axle hub socket

Hello everyone. I need to get at my parking brake shoes on my truck and I’m trying to find the proper tool to remove the axle / hub nut. My snap-on rep has a snap-on part number S6109A “6 lug Axle Nut Socket” but isn’t sure if it will be the right one and I really don’t want to find out in the middle of the job that it’s the wrong one. Can anyone here tell me if this is the tool I need or if this isn’t the right one what the correct part part number is... Truck is a 2007.5 3500 dually megacab 6.7 manual 4x4. I did ask the local dealer if I could buy the tool from them but they couldn’t be bothered, would rather have me take the truck to them to do it but that aint gonna happen at their shop rates...
Oh and while I think of it I heard somewhere that GM uses the same rear axle in some of their wagons, can anyone tell me if that’s true, maybe the GM tool that seems to be available everywhere around here would work then?

AutoZone or advance auto rent the multi socket kit for axle work.

Not sure you need to pull the axle on that new of a truck, as I thought they weren't captive drums on the newer rigs. Mine, requires the axle removed, but the newer ones the drum is outboard, and just pops off.

Unfortunately no Autozone or Advanced Auto here... on the single rear wheel trucks I do think you’re right but on the Dually they are captive drums so she’s gotta come apart... I may just end up fabricating something if I can’t find one...

Well I got the job done. The snap-on tool socket works with some very minor reworking in case anyone needs to know for the future.
