'07 vs. '10

I am searching for a new truck. It's going to be a dually used mostly for pulling in the 12k - 18k range. There are lots of good used trucks around here so I am considering used before new. I am definitely looking for a 2007 or later because I want the 68rfe tranny and exhaust brake.
Is there any major difference between the early 3rd gens (2007) as compared to the more recent ones (2011)?
Thanks.

Well yes and no...
Drivetrain wise, little difference leave that they programming has been tweaked and revised enough to make the bluetec system functional.
Creature comfort, ride, and niceties wise...
No comparison. Period. 4th gen hands down.

Dont get me wrong I love my 2007.5 and with the deletes the truck runs like a animal, but I do have the chance to drive the 4th gens at work alot, and its really no contest. The new trucks are soooo much nicer it really hurts, every day I drive past my dealer and want to do a trade in, but I just dont want to start over on payments! Get a 4th gen you will love it.
I'm thinking of making a switch. I've got an 2001 with 100klms on it. But the payload is so low I'm thinking of a 10-11 3500. Is it worth it? Would you go auto or manual? Any problems with them? I've fixed most of the problems on the 01.
Thanks
