$1700 Brake Job Pedal on floor
Hi all,
Just laid out $ 1700 for a brake job on an 08 3500 CC. New pads, rotors and rear calipers. Picked it up and drove back and the pedal goes to the floor. Took it back, tech called and said it has a code p2579 and that it is causing the issue. I don't buy it. Searches turn up nothing that supports that. I think it is strictly mechanical, and he needs to start over. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

Thats what I thought too, but they wont even pump up. And the pedal is verrrrry slow to return. They sort of grab for an instant then pedal just keeps sinking. Trying to figure out what he did. Thanks

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
Could be air in the ABS unit.
If, when bleeding the brakes, they put the pedal to the floor it could have flipped the cups in the master. Seen it a few times and gives the symptoms you have.

Thanks,
They still have it. I told them if he wasn't comfy diagnosing it I would do it myself. He claims to be a gas engine specialist? We are working on brakes here. Oh well. See what he says Monday. I dont see how a turbo pressure sensor could affec this at all. Thanks for your help

If the brainavac tech pushed fluid back into resivor in removal, he probablly pushed the junk fluid from calipers back through valves in MC and Possiblly ABS. Now one or both units are continimated with the junk that build in caliper during use. Fluid in caliper will be black while fluid in MC is still clear.

Easy to test if master, remove cap on master cylinder, if fluid shoots out when stepping on brake pedal then your master is bypassing.
I've only seen it happen once but make sure they installed calipers with bleed screws at the top of caliper. If on the bottom the caliper will not bleed out the air.
