$16k off MSRP!!!!

I was driving through Sacramento today. Heard an ad on the radio for $16k off MSRP on ANY 2500 or 3500 in stock. Smoking deals!

I hope someone on here gets to take advantage of that kind of deal. Elk Grove Dodge.

My Dad just picked up a new 08 2500 big horn cc for just over $15k off msrp. He had a goose neck hitch, running boards, mud flaps, and a spray in bed liner installed and I think he still got it for under $33k. I'm buying his 04 2500 5.9 CTD , it has 93K miles, just broke in right! We have gotten up to 24.5 mph with the 04, so far only about 18.5 with the 08 but it has short of 500 miles on it yet. Hopefully he'll like the 08, he has loved the Cummins in the 04!

That MSRP number has become so inflated. I think the new number most work off is the invoice. If I remember when I bought my truck in 06 I had gotten about $14.5K off the MSRP, or about $5K under dealer invoice. If the market doesn't rebound much this holiday season I can see the trucks going for even less.

I paid $32,000 for mine, it was 16k off msrp. Here recently the big dodge dealer in Idaho, Dave Smith Motors, was advertising them for $28,000. darn that hindsight!

I just talked to Dave Smith motors about those 28k trucks they weren't for just anyone. I couldn't get one for less that about 33k so you did ok. I'm still looking.

Yeah, I got mine for invoice minus a $5k rebate, plus I think they gave me some factory to dealer cash. I still ended up at $41k or so out the door. The thing that really sucked is the negative equity on my trade. A year and a half later I still owe $36k LOL

Dave Smith has the best prices EVER. They are the largest GM and Dodge dealer in the country. Towards the end of the month if they're not making their quota, they'll completely drop their drawers on price just to roll some units. They'd rather take a couple grand loss per unit at the end of the month than lose the HUGE holdback checks they get based on volume at year-end.

No kidding, were getting hosed up here, I heard on the radio when they were talking about the hardships the auto-workers were going through, that they number 45,000 or so. (Canada)

The dealers are in the number of 145,000. Thats the number that needs to be divided in three.

I added up a deal here and in Fargo ND and the difference was still 11K after the exchange. Only snag with Dodge is no warranty...I did that once and lucked out with the truck I have here. 07.5 6.7 Mega Dually auto...not one problem other then what the smog stuff was doing and that all went away after some surgery. Ford still offers a warranty on both sides and have some real strong deals down south. However, you gotta step up to a larger truck to get the Cummins and I did hear a rumor that that might not be possible anymore either.
I know too many folks with the new diesels that have had bad luck and poor MPG. I might have to stay with what I have because of the beating I would take to get out of it too.

Time to go back to reality...[sigh]

Local Dodge dealer (North Bay) called me after I was looking around the lot at 2008 CTD's. He quoted me $18,000 below MSRP ($45,000) on two trucks (SLT 4x4 Quads CTD). I can't part from my '05, especially what I got invested in it.

So around $27,000 plus TTL... Roughly $30,000 out the door.

The local Ford dealers offered that same amount off last week, hmmmmmm. Maybe they'll start a bidding war.

Why aren't these Dodge deals pass over to us Canadians?
