Don't know anything about the Zerex G-05, but have you looked to see if it's a Cimmins approved coolant? My 2006 cooling system is 7 gallons.

My understanding is the Zerex G-05 is of the (HOAT) coolant. I had planned on using it when the time comes to change. Also I believe the 03 is 7 gallon cooling system also.

GO-5 is a Valvoline made product. It comes OE in every Chrysler vehicle as well as Fords. The dye looks a little different from OE. OE is a little more orange looking. DC will recommend using GO-5 or a similiar product. As mentioned above it is supposed to be a HOAT that goes in your truck. I have seen a ton of GM users go from Dex-Cool to green (silicate based Ethelyn Glycol) because Dex-Cool gunks up. I have a maintenance business. We have been using G0-5 for some time now (over 3 yrs.) and have had no problems with this fluid. My trade magazines discuss the problems with Dex-Cool but G0-5 has never been criticized.

I would also change out the thermostat too if your doing the coolant change. You can get it from a Cummins authorized parts place.
