Won't go into gear!!
Won't go into gear!!
Hey guys, so I have a 2005 Cummins that had a 48RE, and I put a G56 into it.
I put a used stock clutch (DMF) with about 4200 miles it.
The trans go into all gears just fine without the engine running, but when I start it in neutral and push in the clutch, it will not go into any gear.
If I start the truck in gear with the clutch pushed in, it will sound like the starter is working harder, and then the truck creeps forward. When I try to pull it out of gear with the clutch in, and at idle, I cannot get it out that gear.
I drained the clutch hydraulic system, and believe I have all air bubbles purged from the line.
I did not adjust the self-adjusting DMF pressure plate as I am using the pressure plate, clutch disk and flywheel out of a 2011, and figured that it wouldn't need adjusting, was I wrong?
What are your thoughts?

That's what I was thinking as well, the only things I can think of that would cause that are: the hydraulics needing to be re-bled, or the pressure plate has to be reset, so it can do its "self-adjust".
Is there anything else?
