wont crank after new injector
well i have a 04 that i drove in the shop needing an injector.i put the injector in and now it wont start.no one in my area knows anything about these trucks,so i really have no one to ask.what is the trick to bleeding these fuel lines?could there be anything else that could cause my problems? thanks a lot
you changed one injector?
is there fuel spilling onto the ground? check all lines, make sure no leaks.
it will take about 8 or so cranks to start, and will run rough and smoke a bit, let it run for like 5 mins, let it clear up, should run smooth after that.
if there is any fuel leaks, it wont start. i just turn the key to run, and let the lift pump prime, self bleeding, don't go and try to bleed it off.

Did you follow the procedure for installing injector? If not then high pressure fuel tube in cylinder head maybe leaking causing a no start.
Tightening Sequence:
Install fuel injector holdown clamp (mounting flange) bolts. Do a preliminary tightening of these bolts to 5 N·m (44 in. lbs.) torque. This preliminary tightening insures the fuel injector is seated and centered.
After tightening, relieve bolt torque, but leave both bolts threaded in place.
Install high-pressure connector and retaining nut. Do a preliminary tightening to 15 N·m (11 ft. lbs.) torque.
Alternately tighten injector holdown bolts to 10 N·m (89 in. lbs.) torque.
Do a final tightening of the high-pressure connector and retaining nut. Tighten to 50 N·m (37 ft. lbs.) torque.
