Wix or Donaldson fuel filter

So I drove 40 miles today to get a fuel filter for my 05' from Napa. They didn't have any in stock [verymad] So the heck with it I'll order them online. Which is the better filter and where's a good place to buy it from.
Thanks in advance,
Darrell

Must be a pretty crappy napa if they dont even have a fuel filter in stock...I would have done the same...

Geno's no shipping Xmas special.

I just received a postcard informing me of a "no shipping charge" special through 12-15. Mention code "HOLO6" for discount. Prior customers only they say.

Thanks to all but Cromulias. It's Remarks like that that ruin great forums such as this. If you must know I was out and about getting farm supplies and just got to thinking since I've only had this truck for a month I better get a fuel filter and I know typically Napa parts are way better than your typical Schucks or Pep Boys.

I agree what a idiot

Hvytrkmech 11-21-2006 08:39 PM

Hmm, I read Mr. Dalbery's original post and it sure read like he made a specific trip of 40 miles to purchase a fuel filter.
I would guess that if the original post stated that he was out for farm supplies, then thought he should buy a fuel filter and just happened to stop buy a Napa store that didn't have the filter in stock, then he would not have recieved such a blunt reply.
I thought he should of called also until I read further.

Fleetfilter.com has the best prices for Napa/Wix filters.

I found that www.scheiddiesel.com has the best prices. They also have great service......FWIW

What we have seen here is another example of "FILTER WARS" It is a common occurrence when new guys join DTR and want to boast that THEIR filter is better than everyone else's.

Dalbery just joined DTR, cut him some slack. Let's not get into name calling and insinuating people are stupid. Especially, when the guy just steps foot into the "room". [dummy] It stifles discussion and ideas. Be respectfully. If you want to call someone a moron do it in a PM, not in an open forum. (No, do not PM me, [verymad] )

Use the search tool, it is your friend.
