hey guys, I don't know if I have multiple problems, but all happening at the same time? a few weeks ago I put a smarty jr tuner on my truck and all was well for about a week and then I seemed to get a timing rattle that started getting worse. I backed off the timing setting which worked for a while and then it started getting worse again and also got harder to start in the mornings and had a bad lope when idling. yesterday I put it back to stock and it still had the timing rattle on acceleration and refused to start this morning. finally had to use ether (I know ). Now if I let it set for more than fifteen or twenty minutes it has to crank for a while to start and the rattle seems to be getting worse. sorry for the long winded post. any ideas?

 

I'm assuming you don't have any codes being you didn't list any? After it cranks is there any smoke present,white or black? Have you checked the level of your oil to make sure its not rising(from fuel)? Any gauges to see what the rail pressure is doing while running?

Sorry for all the questions but it will help us know more.
