Where can i get Power Wagon Axle parts... for a diesel?

im about to get a lift and tires on my truck, and i want it built right. i know that a locker is not made for our aam 11.5 axles, but i was reading that the powerwagons use electronically controlled lockers for the front and rear. and that they have 4.56 gears... where as all i can find for purchase are 4.10 gears for my truck. could i get the lockers and gears at the dealership? or does a power wagon have a different setup, and wont function in my truck?

any info, or opinions on the matter would be great.

by my calculations (lol, i know that sounds gay).... it would take a 4.48 gear ratio to keep my truck at a stock ratio with 38" tires at an original 3.55 ratio. now if i had 3.73 originally, it would take a new ratio of 4.78 to get back to stock. this is assuming i had 245/70r17 tires from the factory. i think 4.56's and 38" tires is a good mix... im just uncertain about the power wagon lockers... and if its even possible to put them on my truck.

The electronic locker is only on the 9.25 and 10.5 axles. You would be able to do only the front axle. Your rear axle is an 11.5 The best you will be able to do is install the front locker with 4:11 gears. I am guessing your talking about the truck in your signature, the 2005? You would have had 3.73 or 4.11 from the factory. Put the detail of your truck in the post, like auto or manual (which manual)

Give us a break, you expect answers with a 2 hour period? Maybe if you quit spamming your own post, others will answer.

didnt mean to upset you dude, sorry... but i was under the impression that the powerwagon had an 11.5 rear... in that case it would render this whole thread useless, as i would go with an arb air locker for the front, and not mess with a stock PW locker.

there are 4.56 gears for the 11.5 right? ive seen them on ebay, as well as a torsen posi diff. for my rear, which might be worth looking into: heres the link for 4.56 gears, and the posi diff.: i think i would be doing good going with arb locker up front, and posi in the back, with 4.56 gears on 38"-40" tires

front 4.56:

rear 4.56:

torsen posi differential

the truck is in my sig

I do believe that all of our HD trucks are running the 11.5" axles. I know it was an option for a while, but I have never seen one that doesn't have them.

All the CTD equipped 3/4 and 1 ton trucks have 11.5" rear axles. Hemi equipped 3/4 ton Rams had 10.5" axles. The Power Wagon has a 10.5" rear axle.

Check out or call Randy's Ring and Pinion. If anyone knows, they will.

Yes all 3rd gen CTD trucks have the 11.5" rear, which makes the rear leaf pack/overloads the ONLY difference between the 2500 and 3500(SRW).

Also the PW front locker WILL NOT fit on a stock CTD due to clearance issues between the actuator motor and oil pan. Could work on a lifted truck with the correct bumpstops though.....

Go for ARB's!!!

The Eaton E-Locker will fit your front axle with a little grinding. Several people on this board are running them.

My internet connection is barely working at this time but I would guess the Ebay differential is an AAM TracRite Gt. I'm not aware that Zexel Torsen made a differential for the 11.5".

I think the 4.56 has been available for GM applications.

Almost certainly, those gear would require spacers or the proper differential to work.

so these gears i have linked are not made for the dodge? if not, wouldnt there be a good chance of failure down the road? i dont want these axles to crap on me unless im beating the hell outta them offroad.

***i was just on a dodge specs website, and the 4.56 is available in our trucks (even diesels w/ the 11.5 rear) so i will see if i can buy a ring & pinion kit from the dealership.
