Valvoline Premium Blue from the cummin's service dept in OKC and Fleetguard filters. Oil change with fuel filter cost me around $38 bucks.

For as many times as I read that manual within the first few thousand miles, I never noticed that the first oil change was supposed to be like 3000 miles and all of the others were the 7500-15000 range. I have done it the opposite the first oil change was at a little over 10,000 miles and the next one was around 3000. Now I will change at around 5000.

I change mine at 7,500. Did the first at 3K, then waited until 7,500 on the ticker to get in sync, and now it is 7,500 from now on. Rotella-T and a Fleetguard or Donaldson filter. I'm just about to roll up on an oil change, and need to do the fuel filter and both diffs as well. Its gonna be expensive

As I recall severe service also includes lots of idling, short trips, and such. Cold weather is usually harder on oil too.

The main thing is to just change the oil with a new filter. Some people have a problem remembering this. Put a good quality oil and filter on it. The rest is personal preference. I personaly would not go over 7500 mile without testing the oil. That is just me. Oil is cheep compared to a motor.
