What replacment aif filter should I use?

I need to replace my air filter. What do you guys recommend? Last one I did came from the dealer. Is there a better drop in filter out there? I would like to get a cold air intake one day... but for now I think a drop in is the way to go.

Thanks

I use the Airaid drop in and have no dust in the tube what so ever. With the Fleetguard my filter minder would get pulled down in the 1st few K. With the Airaid I can go much, much longer without any movement of the filter minder.

The regular Wix, or Napa Gold, replacement filter has a much higher flow rate than the Mopar. That is what I use.

Air filters. Be very carefull what filters you use out there.
Here in the great white north. AKA Canada there has been a problem with air filters collasping in on themselves due to clogging with snow and or dirt. This has been attributed to, weak wire mesh in the filter front.
Cummins has redesigned the their stock air filter to accomadate this problem and added a more stiff steel mesh.
Although you can find or use other filters on this truck, be aware of the strength of the filter assy and use caution if driving in dusty, muddy, snowy conditions.
This is an internal DC notice for certain areas, Cummins has also done an internal note to their customers AKA dealers.

I have expieranced this myself with snow ingestion, and have seen and heard of guys trucks ranging from 03 to the new 07's with the same problems.

The stock air filter is more then enough for your engine, stay with the it.

Wix - 675 CFM from Wix website. I do not know at what differential pressure this rating was taken at.
Mopar - 452 CFM at 4.66 in. Hg. per this web site.
