Mopar filter and Valvoline PB oil. Why? Everyone says the Mopar filter is a Fleetguard. Should be no questions if waranty is needed and the dealer is only 5 miles away.

That's exactly what I do and why I do it. Every oil change I buy the MOPAR oil filter, oil, and even do the fuel filter every 7500 and I have kept all receipts.

Fleetguard here also. How can you go wrong?

Nothing to do with warranty stuff. Pretty sure as soon as they pop my hood my warranty would disappear. On second thought, no one but myself pops my hood...

never been back to the dealer since I took delivery almost 50k miles ago and plan to keep it that way for 10x the mileage.

I run Fleetguard. Just so everyone is aware of it Fleetguard and Mopar are the exact same filter, just painted differently.

Walmart carries the Mopar MO-285 for $10.47 along with the Rotella for $11.77 per gallon, so that's what I'm using. I'm changing every 3K miles as the whole diesel thing is still new to me.
