Can someone simplify this for me as to what to buy to run in the winter-now? All this is a little confusing. I run straight diesel and no programmer changes....as of now. I've run stanadyne perforamce before and liked it.

Unless you have water in your fuel or its 25below zero there's no reason to worry about winter additives. Most freeze ups are caused by water in the filters and not fuel gelling. Keep your filters clean and drained, knock on wood but so far I have never had a weather related fuel problem. I run a Fleetguard FS20000 filter/lube additive combo for fuel lubricity.
I was picking up a can of Sea Foam the other day for my mowers and other yard items and a guy came up and bought three cans ahead of me. We checked out at the same time and both walked out. He took two of the cans and dumped them into his agri bed tank. He said he always runs it in his tractors and his skid steers. Has for years. I swear by it for small engines and this guy likes it for his machinery. It seems to be expensive for every tank use, but what about occasionally? anyone use it in the truck?

Nope, kind of lost the bug to worry about everything that may help. No more chips, snake oil or anything else that costs money and will generate "yes it does/no it doesnt" threads. If it breaks I'll fix it, if it keeps breaking I'll get rid of it. My exception is adding stanadyne to fuel. That is probably explained just like drinking Crown, makes me feel good to pour it in!
