I have never once had a cloud of black smoke come out of my 600, and I stomp on it hard and often. If that happened, something is wrong with your truck.

Get it looked at.

In Iowa, that guy probably would call the DNR/DOT hotline and report you as a "SMOG producer," then you would get all kinds of suggestions and coupons for service at area repair shops to reduce your polution levels. I see the day coming when the DOT or DNR will actually pay us a visit, with the old tail-sniffer to see what is up with our emissions, based solely on the report of another vehicle driver.

Mine don't smoke, but must be pushing raw fuel out instead.

I didn't think mine smoked, but it does puff at times. It's not black, so it's harder to see, it's more of a grey color. I would think if your driving at night and you you stomp it w/ a car behind you and you DON'T see a good deal of smoke in their headlights, then you may have something wrong.

Mine smokes since I put the EZ on it....but then I don't have a 600 either. I think a straight through exhaust system lets more smoke escape as well.

wide open at night with headlights I get no smoke. My benz is a different story...with the chip in it it smokes like a 2nd gen cummins when you stomp it.
