I didn't think they offered the 4.10 with the G56 transmission? Something about 6th already being a lot lower than it was in the NV5600, making the 3.73 really close to the 4.10s in the 03-05 trucks.

My '04 with factory tires hits redline at 95mph. I have the NV5600 and 4.10 gears.
According to all the gear calculators I can find, a 2005-07 G56 has an overdrive of .79 (6th gear), and with 3.73 gears hits redline at 97mph. If you had 4.10s, you'd max out at 88mph.

Change to the new 6th gear ratio they put in starting in 07-07.5 or change to 3.42 gears. This will be like a NV5600 and 3.73 gears. That will help with your issue. Yes, I'll take that beat.

Another solution that is abit less expensive is to swap wheels to 22.5" Alcoas. They can host tires from 36.5" to 39" high. I run 37" Hankooks. The Dodge original tires are 31.5", so if you do the arithmatic, the difference is 15% reduction in engine speed overall. However, this does not decrease fuel consumption as you would think. It increases fuel consumption by .5 mpg at speeds below 40 mph, but decreases fuel consumption above 60 mph. The big advantage of the mod is tire wear and sustained highway speed above 60 mph. These trucks eat front tires with the factory wheels, but not with much stiffer semi tires.

they are correct, your truck has 3.73's and hits the redline at 96 mph and the only way to increase mpg is to get rid of the in-cylinder egr http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/...jr48/152-1.jpg hand calculation is lower but this gives you a good idea of what you can get
