Veg oil and CRD
Veg oil and CRD
what is it about veg oil that the CRD doesnt like? i heard and read this but cant remember what eactly the pressure does to the bio fuel? is it the veg oil itself in pure form? or the contaminants of animals fats and other changes done to it during the cooking process? and how well does the pump react to the viscosity of strait vegetable oil?
Thanks

You do not want to run straight WVO (filtered) if you want to keep the truck. It's too thick (you should heat it) and it will erode your stuff. Biodiesel is the way to go. Some might say that the pressure polymerizes the oil (turns it into plastic), but that is not true. High exposure to air is what causes oils to polymerize. Some oils are more likely to polymerize than others.

for the record i wouldnt be running WVO. I would be running strait cotton seed oilthat hasnt been used yet. is it the properties of the animal fats that polymerize or the actual veg oil itseld?
